Kazaure is a traditional emirate and local government in jigawa state of nigeria. The city of Kazaure is a land with many natural elevations, punctuated by hills and bifurcated by the Ayuba dam. Kazaure consists of two parts: Cikin Gari and Kanti, and the two parts are linked together by a modern bridge. The populations of these areas are not evenly distributed; Cikin Gari area (the city centre), is more densely populated than Kanti. Cikin Gari area is the ancient part of Kazaure, it consists of four traditional gates, namely Kofar Gabas, Kofar Kudu, Kofar Yamma (Ganguli), and Kofar Arewa (Tsohon kafi). Also among these traditional gates, Kofar Gabas is the most densely populated. Apart from these four gates, other more populated area in Cikin Gari is the central part of Cikin Gari called Kofar fada, an area where Emir’s palace islocated. Kanti, the second part of the city is divided into Hayin Gabas and Hayin Yamma by Kano – Daura FederaL highway.

His Royal Highness the Emir of Kazaure. Alhaji (Dr.) Najib Husaini Adamu CON is the current and 10th Emir of Kazaure. He was selected and appointed as the Emir of Kazaure in October and formally installed in December Born in February 1956, Emir Najib Adamu began his education at Kazaure NA Primary School Roni, between 1962 and 1968. His leadership traits emerged when in 1968 he was appointed the School’s Head Boy. He proceeded to Rumfa College Kano, where he also served as the Head Boy in 1973. HRH worked briefly as a clerical officer at the Nigeria-Arab Bank Limited, Kano branch before proceeding to King’s College Lagos for the Higher School Certificate studies. In January 1974, he was admitted to the School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria which he successfully completed in June 1975. The Emir worked as a Legal Consultant/Partner in Kano with Adamu, Ahmed, Ibrahim & Co (Legal Practitioners) and later served in 1996 as the Deputy Director (Legal Services) of the Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund (PTF). He is the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State and he was the Chancellor Akwa lbom State University (2011-2017).
